Description

In 1967, Peter McIntyre holidayed by the beach at The Hut,  in the Westside of Westray. He decided he would like to walk all around the Westray coastline and as an added challenge would try to do this in one day.  Soon afterwards he wrote down his thoughts and feelings as he did this walk.  in 2011 his widow Elizabeth gave these notes to Westray Heritage Trust so that they could be enjoyed by a wider public.  This book is the result.  It takes you on a delightful tour of the coastline of Westray, brought to life by Peter’s words, and photos by local photographer Ailsa Seatter.
